The East Harlem Repertory Theater was founded in 2009.  Its founding members are John Ruiz, Robert Turner, James Garrett and Lloyd Goodman. Since its inception the theater has performed in front of a total of 45,000 people.  We offer jobs to New York City actors and we hold auditions semi-annually for the following season. Each year we hold 15 different performances, each with its own theme and message. Our theatrical performances are always educational and culturally relevant.

“Summer In The City Theater”

This project focuses on providing free theatrical venues for the general public during the Summer season. Many of the performances that are produced during the school calendar year will be showcased in this program. Our performances are held at various outdoor venues such as amphitheaters, NYC Public libraries, New York City Housing Authority centers, and NYC Parks Dept outdoor theaters.

The Youth Repertory Theater

The Youth Repertory Theater offers low cost drama classes to inner city school aged children.  Our classes are held in an after school setting. The children perform in our venues during the school year and during Our Summer in the City Theater.
